The Strength To Walk Away
The Eight of Cups shows that someone is walking away from a situation or a person, certainly emotionally, perhaps physically too. They have worked hard at the relationship or the situation, and put so much of themselves into it; but it never bore the fruits they thought it would, never brought the satisfaction they expected. The Eight of Cups reversed means that someone is fully aware that they should leave a person or a situation, but are hanging onto the past and refusing to acknowledge the truth or move forward, out of fear of change.
