Intuition And Psychic Development

Whenever this card appears in a reading, it means that a person should listen to their instincts right now, as they are correct.  It can also mean that the person is developing psychically, or that there are psychic vibes surrounding their situation.  This card can appear when someone is in the process of psychic development of any kind. 

The High Priestess can also appear when someone is delving into the esoteric, learning new spiritual lessons or showing an interest in any form of magic such as witchcraft.  Someone who is highly attuned to universal magic often turns up this card, as do psychics. 

If the person has no interest in such matters this card could be a message to them to try and develop their intuition, psychic abilities, or that they should seek such a person to help them in your situation.  The card must of course be read in conjunction with all the other cards in a reading.  This card can be very obscure in a small card spread.  It can also tell an amazingly rich story in a more evolved, larger spread.

The card may not necessarily depict the person concerned, it may depict someone around the querant, or it can be a message that there is more than meets the eye to a situation, that someone around the querant is using psychic energy. 

Relationships

The High Priestess in a relationship reading indicates a high level of spiritual learning in the relationship, or psychic development taking place. 

Reversed

The High Priestess reversed indicates that someone is not listening to their inner voice or their intuition.  They are using logic when their instincts are screaming a completely different message.  It can also indicate a highly intuitive, connected person who is refusing to develop their natural psychic skills.
