 Intellectual Action

The Knight Of Swords depicts a solid offer or opportunity of some kind, to do with the intellect or perhaps conflict in a persons life, and action taking place.  For example, someone receive a scholarship or the opportunity for further study, and then carry through by doing so.  There is nothing tentative about the Knight of Swords;  when he appears, he follows through with positive action.

The Knight of Swords appears in a reading to announce intentions of some sort, which are going to actively take place by the person with the intentions.  So for example, if someone had made up their mind they were going to absolutely do something, no matter what, then the Knight depicts this.

The Knight of Swords can also represent an actual person in a reading.  Only a very skilled reader can determine this;  so if the reader is in the beginning stages of learning the Tarot, its probably best to just decipher the meaning.  If the Knight is representing a person in the reading, it could be depicting an adult man in his mid twenties to mid thirties, as men in this age group are often shown as Knights in the Tarot.  The Knight can also depict a younger, very determined or mature man;  and the Knight can also depict a brother.  He would have medium skin, and medium hair, and most likely be an Air star sign.

Relationships

When the Knight of Swords appears in a relationship meaning, it depicts someone making a decision and taking firm action.  For example, the Knight can depict an offer to deepen knowledge within the relationship, or open conflict.  The Knight can represent a literal person in a relationship reading.

Reversed

The Knight of Swords reversed indicates a person who is unable to take positive action intellectually or logically.
