The Magician is a clear signal to someone to act now on their plans; that this is an auspicious time for them to achieve their dreams;  and the universe will work with them in harmony so that things happen smoothly and exactly when they should.  Keep in mind however, that this card is merely a herald;  the person can choose not to take up the Magician's delicious invitation to embark on a new course.  It is entirely up to whomever the card is intended for.  He appears to simply let someone know that now would be a good time, should they choose to go ahead.

Relationship Meaning

If the Magician appears in a relationship reading, it is an indication that the time is ripe for changes within the relationship to take place.  If the question was regarding anything that would change a relationship such as a marriage proposal or taking a relationship to a higher level, this card would show that indeed now would be a good time to implement such changes. 

Reversed

When the Magician is depicted upside down, it indicates that although there is a desire for positive change and growth now is not the right time.  The person concerned is feeling disconnected from the Universe and lack the purpose or self-discipline to carry out their plans.
