An Emotional Offering

The Page of Cups appears in a reading to depict a tentative offer being made to someone of some kind, or as a herald of a message coming their way. This can be either literally, from a person or organisation, or symbolically, from the Universe. For example, this card might appear when someone is holding out the hand of friendship towards another;  or perhaps when a friend has news of some sort to tell.  The Page can be a sign of a new opportunity in a relationship;  an opportunity to mend fences, deepen the relationship, or simply get to know someone better.

The Page can also appear as a chance for someone to feel differently about something in your life.  Perhaps there is something someone has always disliked or not enjoyed before.  The "offer" could be from the Universe rather than a person;  perhaps they have the chance to try again, or have another fresh look at something.

The Page can also represent an actual person in a reading.  Only a very skilled reader can determine this;  so if the reader is in the beginning stages of learning the Tarot, its probably best to just decipher the meaning.  If the Page is representing a person in the reading, it could be depicting a child if the person being read is a parent, as children are often shown as Pages in the Tarot.  They can also represent young people in general, under 25.  The person being depicted would be of fair skin, hair and eyes, and most likely be a water star sign.

Relationships

The Page of Cups appears in a relationship reading when someone is offering  a chance to have a relationship with them, or when someone the querant cares for has a message for them of some kind.  The Page can represent a person.

Reversed

The Page of Cups reversed indicates someone is with-holding their friendship, or information of some kind, not necessarily because they want to, but because circumstances have made it so.  It can depict news being delayed in some way, for example, if a person were waiting on important news about a loved one.
