When this card appears it is a strong warning to the person to be careful as somebody around them in some situation is not being honest or forthright and might have ill intent towards them.  Alternatively, it can depict the querant themselves acting in a dishonest manner.

When this card appears in a reading, it is a sign that the person concerned should be on the lookout for dishonesty or a lack of integrity in the situation they are currently in.
