Success And Emotional Contentment

The Six of Cups depicts a loving pattern of tradition and normalcy, one of domestic happiness and ordinariness.  So often we crave something new in our lives;  but real  happiness lies in contentment, and real contentment lies in the everyday humdrum of our existences and our relationships - in their very ordinariness!  Its something that easy for us to forget to be thankful for.  Its the little things in life that bring us the joys we remember later - the warmth of a familiar face, the touch of a loving hand, the smile of one who understands.  This is what the Six of Cups is all about.

The Six of Cups reminds the person it is meant for to "stop and smell the flowers."  To take a look around  familiar surroundings and the people who they associate with everyday and don't take them for granted!   This card has a message for who it is intended for:  You are more blessed than you know!  You are already a success!  You LOVE and you are LOVED.  There is no greater reward.  If your looking for Utopia look no further than your own backyard.  You might not realise that what you take for granted is hungrily sought after by others.

Relationships

The Six of Cups indicates a comfortable, loving relationship where trust is implicit and taken for granted.

Reversed

The Six of Cups reversed indicates a longing to break away from everyday life and relationships.  Someone who is bored and discontent and looking around for new interests.  They should beware of losing something precious.  They have more than they think you do.  If they choose to abandon what they know and love they will regret it.  The card can be literally translated into "you don't know what you've got til its gone."
